Exercise #17 The MMSCL 2.0 Program.
The MMSCL 2.0 program was very informative. A great teaching tool. I learned some things that I ordinarily would not have bothered to try. I will be using some of the new tools I learned about - and I won't be afraid to explore others.
Thanks for all your hard work.
#16 Craigslist was a first for me. I've been wanting to check it out - found it to be a very useful tool.

This is the link for bartering computer service for electronics. I have lots of electronics that I no longer use, so this would definitely work for me.
Exercise #15 was great. I kind of messed up at first, sorry Nick you probably got a few messages from me to collaborate on. I think Google Docs is the way to go. Lots less litter, much greener!!
What can I say about Wikis??? They are great tools that can be easily edited. I feel a little unsure of the fact that anyone can change and add information. I know the community checks on the wikis content, but how do we know it is truly accurate?
I like SJCPL Subject Guides because I can find many things I'm interested in as well as helpful tips, and I can talk to the library.
PALS Wiki is Outstanding. I can find everything I need to enhance my job knowledge and performance.
In this exercise #13 I explored Technoati, among others, and I found it to be more my speed as opposed to Syndic8 which I was not interested in.

This is a really interesting feed I found. If you're into ghostly happenings, you might like this. I found it on Google Reader, which I really enjoyed exploring. I'll be passing on this info.

This is one of the interesting feeds I found on our catalog. This sure makes things easy for the public. I enjoyed exploring our feeds, and will continue to do so.
Today, I created a Blogline account. I looked around the mmscl teens reader site, there's more on there than I thought. I also added a feed to my Blogline account, it's "Organic Food Organic Living". I'm getting more and more into using raw and pure items in my life. Much more nutritious, and work with our bodies instead against. All in all, I'd say this was very informative. I've learned a whole new way to get information.

Well, I surfed the Wave - SuffolkWave that is. It's great for people who are into ipods and such, but that's not me. My daughter showed me how to download "Great Day in Harlem" by Quincy Jones. I don't think I'll be using this but you never know what the future holds.

Love Flickr. This big cat looks thoughtful. I named her Benny (Bengal Tiger). It's a beautiful picture, one of many I saw on Flickr. This site has some similarities to Snapfish, which I use all the time. I will be passing Flickr on to my friends.

This is a great video. Music by Sick Puppies. A friend of mine sent it to me last year and I just love it, especially the song.
I've been a big fan of youtube for a long time, and I also like hulu. I watch the old TV shows on hulu, like twilight zone etc.
I added three books to my Library Thing account. I also looked at the Patterson book 7th Heaven in our Library and viewed the cloud of tags at the bottom. Viewing those tags I was able to decide I would not read the book at this time because I'm just not into that subject matter at this time
Exploring Delicious was interesting. I looked at many different things by clicking on the tags. The tags are really helpful in finding just what you are interested in. Research made easy!
I liked the tag cloud in our OPAC because I knew just what I was clicking on. I'm new to this and the tags make things much easier. Clicking on the larger tags when in a hurry makes life simpler.

I explored My Space and Face Book. I see why they are so popular. It's a great way to connect to people and keep updated on all kinds of things. You can connect with other libraries and learn different ways of doing things and see what they offer their patrons. We can also share our ideas and solutions with each other.

Okay, I twittered. I answered the question, "What are you doing" . My answer was,
"twittering, I don't digg it"!

Question

Why did my blog disappear from the list of staff blogs?
